It was a relatively quiet week in Romancelandia, which we’re sure we’ll regret saying as soon as we hit “post.”
There was a lot of talk this week about how the RITA scoring system works (or doesn’t work) and how this intersects with issues of representation.
EE Ottoman wrote a thread about how we should talk about foundational texts while also acknowledging that many were problematic and reinfornced harmful tropes.
Talia Hibbert asked for people’s favorite authors of color writing queer romance, and, of course, Romancelandia showed up.
One great resource for this is the PoC Queer Romance Collective that Adriana Herrera and and Harper Miller started.
